Each special purpose private school no longer has a fixed “day treatment rate” but will be billing on a fee for service basis for medically necessary services detailed in each student’s IEP. Sending schools will be asked to provide “seed” money for these services which will vary from student to student. The Maine Department of Education is working diligently to gather the necessary data to adjust the education rates. We will send out further information in January 2011.
