The Office of Adult Mental Health Services is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive system of mental health services and supports for persons age 18 and older with severe and persistent mental illness.
Job Duties
This is professional services work of a supervisory nature involving the coordination, supervision, and administration of program services to adults with mental health and their families in a region of the State. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and evaluating regional program needs and services; overseeing quality assurance for service delivery; participating in the development and negotiation of regional contracts; providing technical assistance and guidance to municipalities, community organizations, and providers; and developing, recommending, and implementing program policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. This position will supervise professional Intensive Case Managers that are working within the criminal justice system. Work is performed under administrative direction.
Requirements
Requirements:A Masters Degree from an accredited educational institution in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field -AND- three (3) years experience in mental health or related human service field. Preference will be given to candidates with independent licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LCSW-CC or LCPC/C) and to those with knowledge and experience of adults experiencing mental illness within forensic settings EXPERIENCE CANNOT BE SUBSTITUTED FOR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS IN THIS CLASSIFICATION.

1. Please describe your experience in an adult mental health and/or social service programs requiring planning, evaluation and collaboration with state, public and/or private agencies.
2. Please summarize your experience supervising employees. You should include information about the number of job titles of employees you supervised and dates of supervision, and whether this experience included interview and selection, performance management, and employee discipline
3. Describe your strong leadership attributes including coaching and mentoring, effective tea-building, effective delegation, holding self and others accountable for their work, effective decision-making and professional integrity.
4. Describe your experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness within the criminal justice system.
5. Describe your experience in developing, recommending, and implementing program policies, procedures, goals, and objectives..
