The mission for the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) , within which this position is located, is to develop and deliver services to preserve, protect and promote the health and well-being of the citizens of Maine. The Maine CDC, Health & Environmental Testing Laboratory ("HETL") has a current vacancy in Augusta.
Job Duties
The Warehouse Superintendent is a supervisory position in the Administrative Bargaining unit. Work includes purchasing stock items as well as overseeing the receipt, storage, inventory, issue and transport of a variety of items in a laboratory environment. Supervision is exercised over storekeepers and clerical personnel. Work is performed under limited supervision. This position works closely with the Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Transportation, DHHS representatives, Bureau of Purchase, Human Resources, residents, businesses, other State agencies, supervisors and employees within the laboratory. Other tasks include a variety of laboratory and administrative functions in an extremely busy office.
Requirements
Four (4) years experience in receipt, storage, issuance, and transportation of goods, to include some supervisory experience.
LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (This must be met by all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class): Valid Maine Driver's License.
