Job Duties

As a Comprehensive Health Planner II within the Division of Population Health (DPH) you will be responsible for the management of the Maine Integrated Youth Health Survey (MIYHS) and work with other entities to develop and maintain a system to monitor progress on maternal child health and chronic disease indicators and Healthy Maine 2020 goals, develop technical reports, and identify and respond to DPH staff development needs related to use of evidence-based interventions.

Requirements

In order to qualify, you must have an eight (8) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in planning, program development, and coordination in the public health field or related fields.


Special Necessary Requirement: Applicants should have knowledge and experience with public health practices related to maternal child health, data surveillance systems as well as public health planning, implementation, and evaluation techniques. Applicants should address these special necessary requirements in a separate cover letter.

* Only post-secondary degrees from a College or University whose accreditation has been granted from a nationally recognized accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education will satisfy educational requirements. Information can be obtained at http://www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ . Foreign degrees must be evaluated by the World Education Services for authentication and US equivalency.
