The Office for Family Independence currently has a vacancy in Lewiston.



Job Duties

This is supervisory responsibility in overseeing day-to-day operations of a Regional Family Independence Unit and its assigned staff. Responsibilities include monitoring family independence services, interviewing and selecting staff, determining and implementing corrective action plans for individuals; assigning and adjusting workloads and staffing patterns.

Requirements

To qualify, you must have a Bachelors Degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Work, one of the social sciences, or a related field AND two (2) years experience in social services work providing direct assistance to groups or individuals or deciding client eligibility for financial assistance. Equivalent related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Supplemental questions are to be addressed and included within the application.

Failure to complete the four supplemental qualifications questions will be deemed as an incomplete application and will not be processed.

PERFORMANCE AREA #2: Please highlight those aspects of your background which best demonstrate your knowledge of supervisory principles, practices and techniques.


PERFORMANCE AREA #3: Tell us about a time that you went through a major organizational change and your role during that change.

PERFORMANCE AREA #4: Please describe past experiences that demonstrate your ability to manage and motivate employees.
