AUGUSTA – Governor John E. Baldacci this morning honored 25 State employees during a reception at the Blaine House. The employees were named as “Employee of the Year” within their departments.
“As State Employees, you are among our most valuable resources. You demonstrate deep professional and personal commitment to the people of Maine,” Governor Baldacci said. “Maine is a better place to live, work and raise a family because of the excellent performance of State government employees. I’m proud of the quality of service you have provided to the citizens of Maine.”
Honorees, along with their family members and commissioners, were at the Blaine House for the 7th annual ceremony. The “Employee of the Year” recipients were nominated by the heads of their departments or agencies for their distinguished service and accomplishments in the service to the State of Maine.
