Training Announcement: Medical Management of CBRNE Events

What: Maine EMS is partnering with TEEX in providing a 2 day training on Medical Management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Events (CBRNE).
This course will equip first responders with the skills needed to ensure proper patient triage, treatment, and transportation in the event of exposure to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) weapons. Exercises conducted in a CBRNE scenario utilizing state of the art human patient simulators will reinforce classroom lectures and interaction. Participants will use their training to demonstrate proper techniques for assessment, triage, mass decontamination considerations, treatment and stabilization. In addition, course participants will receive training on the proper techniques for protecting themselves and limiting cross-contamination. When:April 11 and 12, 2013 8:00AM-5:00PM
Target Audience: EMS providers, Fire and Hazmat personnel, Law Enforcement, Public Health, Physicians and Physicians Assistants, Emergency Management, and Hospital Providers
Course Location: The course will be held at the Central Maine Commerce Center (CMCC) in Augusta, ME. The class will be held in Florian Hall. CMCC is located at 45 Commerce Drive. There is a $40.00 course fee with meals included.
