  1. CALL TO ORDER


    The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m. by Robert Armitage, Chairperson.
  2. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS


    Action on out of state travel
  3. OLD BUSINESS


    A motion was made to approve the minutes of the March 17, 2009 meeting as written by DeWan and seconded by Braverman. Unanimous.

    Complaint Officer’s Report

    Nothing to report.

    Hearings

    The hearing in the matter of Erin Anderson was called to order. Anderson was present and not represented by an attorney. Assistant Attorney General Robert Perkins represented the state in this matter. Chairman Robert Armitage acted as Hearing Officer. Public deliberations were conducted following the close of the hearing.

    A motion was made by Braverman to find Ms. Anderson’s education and experience to be substantially equivalent and to grant licensure as a certified interior designer; seconded by DeWan. Unanimous.

    Interviews

    A motion was made by Hansen to approve architect candidate Robert Freedman for licensure via reciprocity with New Hampshire; seconded by Braverman. Unanimous.

    A motion was made by Pullen to approve architect candidate John Loomis to sit for the exam; seconded by LaRochelle. Unanimous.

    A motion was made by Norris to approve architect candidate Nicholas Wyman for licensure via reciprocity with Pennsylvania; seconded by LaRochelle. Unanimous.

    A motion was made by Hansen to approve architect candidate Michael Parriski for licensure via reciprocity with Colorado; seconded by DeWan. Unanimous.

    A motion was made by Norris to approve architect candidate David Mele to sit for the exam; seconded by Armitage. Hansen and Pullen recused and left the room. Armitage, Braverman, DeWan, LaRochelle, and Norris voted in the affirmative; none opposed. Motion carried.

    Draft Work Experience Review Forms

    Members discussed the draft forms prepared for each of the three license types.

    Reinstatement Requests

    A motion was made by Hansen to approve the following requests for reinstatement; seconded by Norris. Unanimous.

    Elizabeth Gould (ARC1970 expired 6/30/08)
    Mark Ello (ARC2981 expired 6/30/08)
    R. Simeon Bruner (ARC1309 expired 6/30/08)
    Robert A. White (LAR96 expired 6/30/08)

    Correspondence

    Philippe R. Thibault - Landscape architect renewal applicant disclosed conviction: A motion was made by Hansen to approve for renewal; seconded by DeWan. Unanimous.

    A motion was made by DeWan to authorize out of state travel for Robert Armitage to attend the NCARB Annual Meeting scheduled for June 17-21, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois; seconded by LaRochelle. Unanimous.
