Mandatory Continuing Education – Issues for Discussion: Carol Leighton prepared a memo outlining issues regarding mandatory continuing education as it may apply for the renewal of licenses. Members reviewed and discussed the memo; no further action was taken.
Complaint Officer’s Report
2008-ARC-4317: A motion was made by Hunt to approve the Letter of Guidance as amended; seconded by Hansen. Unanimous.
Review/Approval of Proposed Rules, Chapters 10-19
A motion was made by Hunt to repeal the following rules:
• Chapter 1 Board Administration
• Chapter 2 Rules for Architects, Landscape Architects and Interior Designers
that the Board adopt the following rules dated March 17, 2009, as modified by the minor technical changes discussed at today’s meeting:
• Chapter 10 Definitions
• Chapter 11 Advisory Rulings
• Chapter 12 Licensure of Architects
• Chapter 13 Licensure of Landscape Architects
• Chapter 14 Licensure of Certified Interior Designers
• Chapter 15 Application for Licensure
• Chapter 16 License Denial and Disciplinary Procedure
• Chapter 17 Grounds for Disciplinary Action
• Chapter 18 Documentation
• Chapter 19 Incorporation by Reference
that the Board adopt the Basis Statements and Response to Comments, also dated March 17, 2009, for all the rule chapters identified above;
seconded by Bisson. Unanimous.
Applications for Review
A motion was made by Hunt to approve the following applications for reinstatement; seconded by White. Unanimous.

• Mark Sengelmann – license expired 06/30/2008
Motion by Hunt to table the application of William Beatrice for four months; seconded by Bisson. Unanimous.
Interviews
A motion was made by Bisson to approve architect candidate John Ogden to sit for the Architect Registration Exam; seconded by Braverman. Unanimous.
A motion was made by DeWan to approve landscape architect candidate Kimberly Turner for licensure via reciprocity with Massachusetts; seconded by Hunt. Unanimous.
Correspondence
Clarification on Transition for the ARE – February 11, 2009 letter: A motion was made by Bisson to inform this individual that the Board will follow NCARB’s interpretation of the rolling window; seconded by Hunt. Unanimous.
