How should devices be prepared for transfer and, what needs to be physically transferred?
For the 2011 Summer Redistribution, extra devices should have the admin password reset to the 2011 image admin password. This will make it easier for receiving schools to reimage these devices. The sending school should ensure that each extra is clean and in good working order. They are also expected to send a bag, charger, power cord, and duck head with each device. If the school is using the newer Brenthaven bags, they should make sure the detachable component pouch is also included.
Sending schools should then transfer each device in the MLTI Asset Manager, based on the confirmation email sent from the MLTI Project Office. This will place the devices in transit so the receiving school (or enrollment pool) can accept them.
