Last Weekly Webinar & Principal Webinar Reminder

It's the last webinar of the school year!!! There is still time to register for Thursday's webinar, "Evaluating Resources and Publishing Student Work", facilitated by Jim Wells.

 

Wide angle view or strong focus? Current or timeless? Authoritative or opinionated? Both? Neither? Students have it hard these days, navigating web resources to find the information that will attend to their questions. In this webinar, we’ll attempt to help our students out with a few pointers, rules of thumb and a dose of sound judgement when it comes to evaluating digital resources. We’ll also discuss the various avenues available to students for publishing their research findings, why this is a good idea and what to do with the feedback they receive.

 

This webinar will be offered at 3:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.. You can register online at Maine121.org. Registrants will receive a link as well as login information.

Principal Webinar

There is still time to register for the Principal Webinar on June 22, 2010 so sign in and join us on Tuesday June 22nd at 4:00 PM for the last MLTI Principals Webinar of the year!

 

The topic will be The Principal's Role in Defining and Supporting Digital Citizenship for All Stakeholders. Our guests will be Mary Callan, Principal of Maranacook Middle School, Lisa Hogan, Tech Integrator at MSAD 75, and Emily Hunt of Common Sense Media. Former Governor Angus King is also planning to join the conversation on the 22nd as well!
