The MARVEL! Challenge: It's not too late!

Thank you
The MLTI Team
The MARVEL! Challenge is in full swing, and it's not too late to join in. Across Maine, students, teachers and librarians are engaging in three grade level scavenger hunts using the amazing resources of MARVEL! With two weeks left to complete the Challenge, we'd love to see more participation down the stretch. While the challenge is rigorous, please do not shy away, worrying about being "right or wrong." Just give it your best shot! At this stage, how about a February break homework assignment for the kids? If information literacy for its own sake is not incentive enough, ACTEM will be awarding prizes to participants including the grand prize of a digital whiteboard (value up to $3500) for one lucky classroom that finishes the Challenge!
The second component is a lesson plan contest. ACTEM will give $400 personal awards to up to three teachers that submit lesson plans which are engaging, relevant, and easy to replicate in other Maine classrooms. We are looking for plans that are imbued with technology, not merely MARVEL! specific lessons. The three winning teachers will also be given a full MaineEd Conference registration and will be invited to share their ideas.
