December 2009 Webcasts - Registration Available
Published:December 1, 2009
Registration is now available for December Webcasts at Maine121.org.
This week's webcast is Digital Storytelling and Media Production: Once Upon A Time, facilitated by Dr. Ruben Puentedura (December 3rd). From “Once Upon A Time” to “Happily Ever After”, every child knows the “proper” way to tell a bedtime story — and woe be unto the narrator that knowingly or unknowingly deviates from the expected framework. Some narrative frameworks have utility that goes well beyond soothing sleepless toddlers, though: these frameworks will form the focus of this session. We will also see how to integrate them into a digital toolkit, and how to use them as a basis for collaborative digital storytelling. You can find a link to registration at http://maine121.org/webcasts/. Registrants will receive a link to the WebCast as well as login information.
The schedule for the rest of December is listed below and descriptions of each will be available a week prior to the webcast.
- December 10 - UDL and Accessibility: Getting to Know VoiceOver
- December 17 - Making Meaning: Creating "Realities" - Building and recreating models and simulations to better understand the processes behind phenomena.
As always, webcasts are held at both 3:15 pm and 7:15 pm. To learn more about these webcasts, please visit Maine121.org.
