The Verizon Innovative App Challenge is looking for students (in teams of 5 to 10) to come up with an original concept for mobile apps that incorporates STEM and addresses a real need in their schools and communities. Each of the ten schools (five middle and five high) will receive a $10,000 cash grant to help build the app and further STEM education at the school. The winning teams of students will receive Samsung Galaxy tablets and a trip to present at the 2013 National Technology Student Association in Orlando, FL in June.
Deadline to submit a concept is January 18th, 2013.
