We wanted to take this opportunity to post a few reminders for those of you who serve as the MLTI Tech Lead at your school.
Fall Tech Lead Meetings
The Fall Tech Lead Meetings have been scheduled. Please visit the Events Page for more information and a link to the online registration form.
1) Please check the Contact Information in the MLTI III Asset Manager. If you see any corrections that need to be made, please contact the MLTI Project Office at email@example.com. Please pay special attention to email addresses as many have changed with the consolidation.
2) Please review and accept incoming transfers in your Asset Manager. You can find Incoming transfers by clicking on the View button in the Asset Transfer Notifications box. Transfer policies and procedures can be found in the MLTI Policy Manual and the MLTI Tech Lead Manual.
Have questions about a process or policy? You can find the answer in the MLTI Policy Manual or the Tech Lead Manual. Both can be found online in Studywiz and on the Manuals Page. Many of the questions we receive via email are directly addressed in these manuals; but if you stumble upon something that isn’t addressed, you are welcome to contact the MLTI Project Office by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) Requirement
The DOE requires that all MLTI schools file their AUP with MLTI (see page 8 in the MLTI Policy Manual). Please submit one to email@example.com so it can be linked to your school on MLTI.org. If you have already submitted an AUP, thank you. If you need ideas for creating an Acceptable Use Policy, you can get some ideas from the AUP page.
If you need to request a MacBook as the result of a new student or teacher, or a long-distance transfer, please use the MacBook Request Form. Your request form will be emailed to the MLTI Project Office who will respond accordingly. If your school needs more than 5 MacBooks, please complete the online form once and then send another email to MLTI.Project@maine.gov that shows the types of laptops needed (e.g., 7 & 8 grade students) and the reasons (e.g., in-state transfer). We have made two changes in enrollment pool locations. Oakland has been removed (the pool will continue to be managed out of Augusta) and Charlotte will open in October (to accommodate our schools that are far Downeast).
Please let us know if you have any questions.
