Teri Caouette, MLTI Integration Mentor
I am new to the MLTI Team and look forward to working with teachers and librarians from around the state. My focus will be on helping schools that wish to teach digital citizenship.

I have been an educator in the Portland School System for 22 years.
For the past 16 years I was a Library Media Specialist.
During that time I was also an MLTI teacher leader. I have served on the board of the a Maine Association of School Libraries for over ten years serving as chairperson of various committees and then as President. I am currently the state representative to the New England School Libraries Association on which I am also on the board. Much of our focus in both state, regional and national organizations has been on information literacy and standards. I have served as a representative from Maine to the American Association of School Libraries and was representative at the annual national affiliate meetings.
Teri lives in Portland with her husband. They have two grown children, a daughter who lives with her husband in Massachusetts and a son who is living and working in Switzerland and Liberia.
