Home > Bureau of Rehabilitation Services Bureau of Rehabilitation Services Announces Public Hearing on Rule ChangesSeptember 23, 2009 PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Feed back from the public will be solicited regarding Chapter 1: Amendments to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Rules. The area to be amended is the Order of Selection process (Section 5) after eligibility for Vocational Rehabilitation Services has been determined. This rule change will provide further delineation in determining significance of disability, and subsequently will increase DVR’s compliance with the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, in serving individuals with the most significant disabilities first when there are insufficient funds to serve all that apply. There will be American Sign Language interpreters available at the Augusta and Bangor sites. The proposed rules are available in alternative formats.
