Transition Fairs Target At Risk Students

The Maine Department of Labor is again partnering with the Maine Jobs Council and Maine Councils on Transition to host a series of Mission Transition fairs for teens and young adults.

Seven transition fairs are planned, covering all regions of the state. The annual event is geared to students who may be marginalized in traditional classroom settings, including special education and alternative education students, and young people with disabilities.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops focusing on employment and education resources, financial management, transition planning, housing and supports, self advocacy, and community participation. For more information, visit the Mission Transition website
