Maine State Police Unveil Brand New Website

The Maine State Police has launched its new website, which incorporates several new and improved features to further provide the public with the highest level of service and safety possible. The new website can be found at http://www.maine.gov/dps/msp/ .

The user-friendly website is designed to allow users to quickly and easily get the information they need. For example, a new online form is available for citizens to report a crime directly to the Maine State Police. Citizens can also access online services provided by the Maine State Police directly from the site, including the Sex Offender Registry, the Public Criminal Records search, and the Maine Crash Reporting service. Additionally, users can find information about State Trooper recruitment, vehicle inspections, field troops, special units and the crime lab.

“Our new website provides both citizens and visitors with instant access to important information, including news events, emergency numbers, and answers to frequently asked questions in an easy-to-navigate format,” said Maine State Police Colonel Craig Poulin. “I especially hope it helps people to get to know their Maine State Police even better.”

The Maine State Police has been dedicated to serving Maine’s citizens for the past eighty years and continues this tradition with the launch of their new website. The organization is guided by four Core Principles: Integrity, Fairness, Compassion and Excellence, which guide the organization’s interactions with all whom they serve.

The Maine State Police website was developed in partnership with InforME, the State of Maine’s private-sector partner and official web portal provider. All online services and official State of Maine web pages can be accessed from the state portal: www.Maine.gov (http://www.maine.gov/ ).
