Governor Baldacci’s Statement on the Passing of Arnold Paul

AUGUSTA – Governor John E. Baldacci released the following statement after learning of the death of Arnold Paul, selectman for the town of Eliot and former vice president of the Maine AFL-CIO. Paul passed away last Wednesday.
“I had the opportunity to work with Arnie over the years and was always impressed by his great passion for helping people,” Governor Baldacci said. “He fought hard for Maine workers and was instrumental in working to keep the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard open.”
