• Portland, Fred P Hall School – Monthly Walk & Bike to School Days starting October 5 (A theme for the Walk & Bike to School event is adopted each month. October was the “Chalk Walk” (see photos) where students, staff, and families used chalk to leave thank-yous to Portland Public Services workers who have made sidewalk and crossing safety improvements near the school. November’s theme is a Food Drive – the Student Council of Portland High School will send 5-10 students to Hall School on the morning of the walk to collect food that students carry in, and will also spend time on the playgrounds, challenging all comers to four-square and other playground games.)
