Ferry Service Resumes Normal Schedule On Friday
Rockland – The Maine State Ferry Service will be operating all runs as normal starting Friday, July 6th at 7:30am. The only exception will be the Lincolnville to Islesboro arrival and departure at 2pm and 2:30pm. Otherwise, a normal schedule will be resumed.
Jim MaCleod, Maine State Ferry Service Manager says, “Because of the need to fuel the vessel, the 2pm and 2:30pm Lincolnville to Islesboro run will be cancelled. I want to thank everyone for their patience. This is a good example of workers coming together and responding to an urgent situation. All of us at the Ferry Service are appreciative of our customer’s support and understanding.”
Mechanical issues at the transfer bridge on Tuesday in Lincolnville had altered the Ferry Service’s daily schedules.
