Press Release January 10, 2003 Lewiston Child Welfare Staff Honored
Child and Family Services recently recognized three of its Lewiston-based professionals for outstanding work in child welfare. Yvonne Dyer, a children’s services caseworker, was honored for excellence in providing children with permanent families. Colleagues nominated Dyer, citing her organization skills, team orientation, and work aiding foster and adoptive families. Dyer has been with Child and Family Services, a Maine Department of Human Services agency, for 15 years. Debbie Gray, a children’s services caseworker, was honored for excellence in family preservation and reunification. Colleagues nominated Gray for her dedication to children. Gray has been with Child and Family Services for five years. Keri Myrick, a child protective caseworker, was honored for excellence in child safety. Colleagues nominated Myrick for her commitment to keeping children safe and willingness to help colleagues in emergency child protection situations. Myrick has been with Child and Family Services for six years. Child and Family Services, Department of Human Services, is Maine’s lead public child welfare agency. The agency’s professional caseworkers evaluate reports of abuse and neglect on behalf of Maine communities, working to keep children safe and to help families create safe, more stable homes. |
