Dislocated Worker Planning for College - Special Session

Focused on the unique needs of the dislocated worker, this session will cover why you are being urged by the Dept of Labor and President Obama to complete a college degree, the importance of working with your CareerCenter, the basics of college planning, your readiness and available readiness supports, admissions steps and paperwork, financial aid basics including the FAFSA, and available resources to support your degree completion process.

Bring your 2008 1040 tax paperwork, along with your Maine Dept of Labor Obama Iniative Letter and Unemployment eligibility notice. Plan to work on your unique paperwork after this 90-minute workshop.
