Learn to use tools that can assist you in conducting your job search in an efficient, productive manner that makes the most of your time and links you to the maximum number of job opportunities. Topics covered include: an overview of the services available to you at the CareerCenter; how to conduct a pro-active job search that taps into the “hidden job market” through networking and approaching employers directly about jobs; identifying the skills that you have to offer an employer; tips for successfully filling out applications; how to design resumes and cover letters that can effectively market you to a new employer; an introduction to interviewing; and registering and applying for jobs posted through the CareerCenter.
