MDOL Leadership Series Graduates New Class

The second Maine Department of Labor Leadership Training Series wrapped-up today at a ceremony attended by Commissioner Fortman and Bureau Directors.
Fifteen employees took part in the 45-hour leadership course aimed at strengthening the skills of the next generation of Maine Department of Labor managers. Topics included leadership effectiveness, time management, workplace respect, writing skills, performance expectations, coaching, the legislative process, government finance, project management and operations excellence.
Participants worked in teams to develop a project grounded in lean principles to develop or improve a process within the Department of Labor.
