SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans Available in Maine Following Secretary of Agriculture Disaster Declaration

ATLANTA—The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that federal economic injury disaster loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private non-profit organizations of all sizes in Maine caused by the combined effects of various periods of excessive rain, hail, high winds, below normal temperatures, dry weather and excessive heat from May 3, 2011 through Sept. 20, 2011.

These loans are available in the following counties: Aroostook, Hancock, Knox, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Somerset, Waldo and Washington in Maine.

Disaster loan information and application forms may be obtained by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339, for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by sending an e-mail to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Loan applications can also be downloaded from http://www.sba.gov . Completed applications should be returned to the Center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
