§         Updates

§         LYAC is still being considered in committee hearings.

§         Kerry has finished part I of her research on youth involvement in school boards.  Her research will be posted on the website and has been forwarded out to our subcommittee and the full task force.  Kerry hopes to gain youth perspectives on her data next year.

§         Please let Kerry know if you are interested in helping out in the Youth Adult Partnerships workshop she will be doing at the KIDS Consortium conference.

§         Overview of YOUTH section of website and deadlines

 

§         The website architecture has been completed.  All content for the website is due June 10th.  We have gotten that extended to June 13th.  Today will be a work session for content

§         Brainstorm of “How to Get Involved” (with the goal of selecting 10 to put on the website)

 

 

§         We brainstormed suggestions and then voted on these ten ways.  See website documents for full report.   

§         Brainstorm of “Youth Issues” (with the goal of selecting 5-7 to have links about on the website)

 

§         We brainstormed suggested and then voted to get them down to 5-7.  See website documents for full report.

§         Because of the small number of people at this meeting, we divided into two groups: 10 Ways to Get Involved and Organizing Links.  Jen agreed to work on the LYAC page over the weekend.  Tamara and Kerry will work on the Citizenship Education piece.
