ADDITIONAL NOTES AND REMINDERS:

 

-Full Task Force meetings confirmed:

 

April 11: 1-4 p.m.           Focus on Maine Readiness Campaign and role CETF members can play to assist with organization and delivery of leadership trainings

 

July 11: 1-4 p.m.            Focus on civic learning & engagement as an organizing principle in district reform, with a focus on role of community partners in encouraging, assisting and deepening this work

 

October 10: 1-4 p.m.      Focus on sustaining the work of the CETF beyond CMS, including, presentation of a final notebook—Maine’s toolkit for fostering CL&E

 

-We are still due to deliver a final (interim) report to the Education Committee.  The date of our presentation has not been rescheduled.

 

-The Readiness for College, Career and Citizenship Campaign has hired VIA Group.  On March 16 to discuss the overall campaign message.

 

-Commissioner Gendron has a personal meeting with Bill Gates on March 14 (today) and will make a pitch for strengthening the “3rd C” in their school reform effort, which focuses on readiness for college, career and citizenship.
