Publications

Training manuals have been developed to support the State's basic training and certification efforts.

Hard copy manuals are available at cost. The cost for printed publications is anywhere from $5.00 to $20.00 (tax included) depending on the publication. The program information guide is provided at no cost. To minimize the cost of the training manuals you may request them on CD-ROM for $5.00. Please contact Brianne D. Hasty at (207) 624-6219 for this service.

The basic training manuals have been converted for on-line downloading. There is no cost to download any of the manuals. The format for downloading is Adobe Portable Document Format, commonly known as PDF. The size of the file is also provided because some of the files may be large. If you have problems downloading PDF documents you may need to reset your default browser.

Building Standards

Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code. The Technical Building Codes and Standards Board adopted the 2009 IRC, 2009 IBC, 2009 IECC, 2009 IEBC, ASHRAE 62.1-2007, ASHRAE 62.2-2007, ASHRAE 90.1-2007 and ASTM E 1465-06, as the standard for construction in the State of Maine.
