State Archivist, David Cheever Speaks at TWK Dirigo Middle School about Maine’s involvement in the American Civil War

Presentation to students is part of the Secretary of State’s Sesquicentennial for Schools Program

AUGUSTA, Maine – State Archivist, David Cheever speaks to Ms. Abigail Wood’s 8th grade Social Studies at T W Kelly Dirigo Middle School in Dixfield on March 21, 2012.  Mr. Cheever’s presentation focused on Maine's role in the Civil War and specifically on people from Dixfield and surrounding towns who were involved in pivotal events.

The Sesquicentennial for Schools Program is part of an ongoing commemoration by the Maine State Archives of the 150th anniversary of the beginning of America’s Civil War.
