Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap Announces Expansion
of Online Business and Nonprofit Corporation Services

AUGUSTA, MAINE -- Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap announced on Tuesday that the Division of Corporations, UCC and Commissions has added another feature to its suite of online services for the business community in Maine.

This new online service, Change of Address Online, allows the contact person (referred to as the clerk or registered agent) for the business entity or nonprofit corporation to change the official address on file with the Secretary of State for service of legal process. Additionally, this feature allows out-of-state entities to change the address of their principal business offices.

“The Department of the Secretary of State continually strives to expand and enhance its offering of online services. We seek to give citizens greater options and flexibility by enabling them to interact with our office at a time that’s convenient for them, Secretary of State Dunlap commented.

This additional service will interact with another popular online filing program, Annual Reports Online, to allow users a one-stop location to provide updated information about their business or nonprofit entity. A link to this service can be found at under Business Services and Interactive Corporate Services.
