Portland Motor Vehicle Branch Office Changes Location
Effective July 14, 2003

The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is relocating its Portland branch office to 125 Presumpscot Street in what is locally known as the Roundhouse. The branch office had previously been located at 312 Canco Road in Portland. The new location will allow the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to provide more space for operations and customer service.

The Portland Branch is one of thirteen motor vehicle branch offices across the state. Linda Chasse is the section manager for the branches in the southern district of the state and oversees the operations of the Portland branch.

The Portland office is a full service branch processing driver licenses, state IDs, and vehicle registrations; providing driver examinations; and conducting administrative hearings.

While the branch's location has changed, its main telephone number remains 822-6400, and its hours of operation remain 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
