EXPECTED 2008-2009 RULE-MAKING ACTIVITY: The Maine Indian Tribal-State Commission is in the early stages of exploring the imposition of a MITSC fishing license on MITSC waters. We do not know at this stage whether MITSC will require a MITSC fishing license to fish MITSC waters. If MITSC does require a fishing license, the following information would be applicable.
STATUTORY BASIS: 30 MRSA 6207(3)
PURPOSE: To require a fishing license to fish MITSC waters
SCHEDULE FOR ADOPTION: Possibly spring 2009
AFFECTED PARTIES: Any angler who wishes to fish MITSC waters
CONSENSUS-BASED RULE DEVELOPMENT: Not contemplated
