CHAPTER
1: Rules and Regulations of State Board of Registration of Professional
Engineers - By Laws.
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 MRSA Section 1306
PURPOSE: This chapter describes the operation of the Board, the duties
of the various officers and committees of the Board and the procedures
for the conduct of Board meetings. This chapter will be amended with
minor word changes.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Rule change is being developed and expected to
be completed before December 31, 2004.
AFFECTED PARTIES: Professional Engineers registered by this Board.
CONSENSUS BASED RULE DEVELOPMENT: Not contemplated.
CHAPTER
2: Registration of Professional Engineers
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 MRSA Section 1306
PURPOSE: This chapter contains provisions relating to registration requirements
and exemptions for Engineers and Engineer-Interns, fees and examinations.
This chapter will be amended to adjust fees and define a continuing
education program for professional engineers as required by L.D. 979
which was passed by the 121st Legislature and signed into law by the
Governor.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Rule change being developed and expected to be
completed before December 31, 2004.
AFFECTED PARTIES: Professional Engineers registered by this Board.
CONSENSUS-BASED RULE DEVELOPMENT: Not contemplated.
