CHAPTER 1:
General Information
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 M.R.S.A., §9904(2)
PURPOSE: This chapter establishes guidelines relating to meetings, records
and advisory rulings.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Summer 2002.
AFFECTED PARTIES: Consumers, applicants for licensure and existing licensees.
CONSENSUS-BASED RULE DEVELOPMENT: Not expected.
CHAPTER 2:
Rules for Licensing of Dietetic Practice
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 M.R.S.A., §9904(2), and 10 MRSA §8003(2-A(D)
PURPOSE: This chapter outlines the rules regarding licensure in dietetic
practice, including educational requirements, examination requirements,
application and licensing procedures, fees, and continuing education
requirements. Provisions may be added pertinent to the staff review
of applications. The Board may repeal existing fee provisions now that
OLR has established fees for this board directly pursuant to 10 MRSA
§8003(2-A)(D) and Rule 02-041 Chapter 10.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Summer 2002.
AFFECTED PARTIES: Applicants for licensure and existing licensees.
CONSENSUS-BASED RULE DEVELOPMENT: Not expected.
CHAPTER 3:
Complaints and Investigations
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 M.R.S.A., §9904(2)
PURPOSE: This Chapter describes the procedure by which complaints and
investigations will be handled by the Board.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Summer 2002.
AFFECTED PARTIES: Consumers, applicants for licensure and existing licensees.
CONSENSUS-BASED RULE DEVELOPMENT: Not expected.
CHAPTER 4:
Code of Ethics
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: 32 M.R.S.A., §9904(2)
PURPOSE: This Chapter sets forth rules regarding codes of ethics for
licensed dietitians and dietetic technicians.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Summer 2002.
AFFECTED PARTIES: Consumers, applicants for licensure and existing licensees.
CONSENSUS-BASED RULE DEVELOPMENT: Not expected.
