Ballot Scanning and Tabulation System RFI

Introduction
The Maine Department of the Secretary of State, Bureau of Corporations, Elections, and Commissions invites interested parties to respond to a Request for Information (RFI) for a Ballot Scanning and Tabulating System. The Bureau has assembled a project team to establish an action plan for upgrading the equipment currently used at many voting locations. As a first step, the project team has defined a list of high-level requirements for the desired solution. The purpose of the RFI is to present these requirements to interested parties and obtain an understanding of the potential solutions available. The information gathered will be used to further define the project and assess funding needs. Please see the RFI below for details.
Responses must be submitted by no later than Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Interested parties may direct questions regarding the details of the RFI to Katharine Moore.
