2012 Candidate's Guide to Ballot Access

This Guide describes the requirements and procedures for candidates to gain access to the ballots for the June 12, 2012 Primary Election and November 6, 2012 General Election. It also provides instructions for completing and circulating nomination petitions.

Write-in Candidates

A person whose name does not appear on the ballot may be elected to an office if the person files a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy no later than 45 days prior to the election. A write-in candidate must fulfill all qualifications for the office sought. Further information is available in the Write-in Candidates Procedures.
