Steps for Insurance Company Entrance Criteria into the Program and Certification.


It only takes four steps to be compliant:

Step 1: Build your file using the Technical Specification Guide.
Step 2: Register for a login
Step 3: Get certified
Step 4: Upload files as often as needed

The Bureau of Motor Vehicles has worked with the insurance industry for more than a year in preparation for this notification requirement. As a result, the business rules and Technical Specifications were defined and available on June 13, 2003.

Starting August 15, 2004 insurance companies will be able to visit this web site to register for a login. Once registered, insurance companies are required to become certified to upload files (as outlined in the Technical Specification Guide). Upon completion of certification, insurance companies may freely upload files as often as necessary.
