Maine Motor Carrier Manual
(Revised February 2007)
This manual explains how to comply with the requirements of the International Registration Plan (IRP) in the State of Maine, fuel tax reporting including the International Fuel Tax Agreement, Single State Registration and Operating Authority.
This manual covers basic information relative to IRP registration in the State of Maine. However, it is impossible to anticipate every situation. Anyone who requires more information should telephone or visit the Motor Carrier Service (MCS) office in Augusta. All IRP work must be completed through the IRP Unit in Augusta.
