Content/Our collection includes typical small-town life depicted in photographs, letters, business

Scope:papers, government papers, church records, genealogical records, school records, etc. Since

Brownville has a long railroading history (Canadian Pacific RR, Bangor & Aroostook RR,

Bangor and Piscataquis RR), we have an always-growing RR history collection. Also: slate

quarries, Moses Greenleaf (Maine surveyor and writer), Walter Morrill (Civil War soldier).
