Historical Records Grant Forms

IMPORTANT NOTE: The current grant form for Basic Projects gives a deadline of March 1, 2012. We HAVE received further funding, so there will continue to be rolling deadlines for projects of up to $1000, although there might be a gap of a month or two. It is expected that there will be a Major Projects deadline of Oct. 1, 2012, but we are still working out the details. New grant forms will be available by the end of the month.

The program has a simple application form with rolling deadlines (you can apply at any time) for grants of up to $1000, with an annual deadline of October 1 for grant amounts between $1000 and $4000, funding permitting. Note that these grants are not for artifacts. Historical Records are unique original records, usually unpublished, including manuscripts, photographs, architectural records, video recordings, sound recordings, and film.

Contact Janet Roberts (287-5791; janet.roberts@maine.gov) for more information.
