Turner July 17th 1862
Sir:
I have twenty seven men enlisted, and hope to
have a full company in a week. I find many object
to enlisting on account of not knowing into which
regiment they are going. If you can inform me it
will oblige me much. My choice is the 17th as most
of my men are from this vicinity. Reply by return
mail if possible.
