Tax Acquired Property
Annually, the Unorganized Territory has tax acquired parcels that are sold via a sealed bid process. This process is administered by the Maine Revenue Services. Interested parties may receive a listing of the parcels to be sold and details on how to bid, by mailing a letter to:

The next sale will be in late 2009 or early 2010. If you want a list of the parcels for that sale, please return a self-addressed 9 x 12 manila envelop with 6 first class stamps on the front and the notation “2006 LS” appearing on the lower left corner. Nothing else is required.
This envelope will be used to return information to you on the parcels being offered for bid that year and an explanation of the process and timeframe.
