Multi-State Cooperative Purchasing
The State of Maine often joins the bidding process with other States to capture the best pricing possible for the volume of purchases being made.
Sometimes we just join in a tri-state bid with NH and Vermont as some commodities just fit in the upper northeast corridor with specific requirement for the cold weather conditions.
For other Cooperative Purchasing with multiple states the Materials Management Division (MMD), of the Minnesota Department of Administration, has designated a Contract Administrator and a Procurement Manager who are responsible for the conduct of this procurement and management of the bid process and contracts.
