CALL TO ORDER
Chair Spahn called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

OLD BUSINESS
Review and approval of the minutes of June 28, 2006
In a motion by Beever, seconded by Benson, to accept the minutes of June 28, 2006, as written. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Adjudicatory Hearing – 2005 VET 2357 Justin Blake
At 3:00 p.m. the hearing is tabled to the October 5, 2006 meeting and Mr. Chandler regrettably has to leave the remainder of the meeting.
Complaint Officer’s Report
2006 VET 2472 Initial presentation
In a motion by Benson, seconded by Beever, to dismiss 2006 VET 2472 with a letter of guidance regarding notice of services for all facilities including breeding facilities that are under the ownership of a licensed veterinarian. The letter of guidance is to be on file for a period of two years. Motion carried, Complaint Officer recused.
2006 VET 2741 Initial presentation
In a motion by Beever, seconded by Spelke, to dismiss 2006 VET 2741 on the basis of no violation of Board’s Laws and Rules. Motion carried, Complaint Officer recused.
2006 VET 2802 Initial presentation
In a motion by Beever, seconded by Spelke, to dismiss 2006 VET 2802 on the basis of no violation of Board’s Laws and Rules. Motion carried, Complaint Officer and Benson recused.
2006 VET 2803 Initial presentation
In a motion by Spelke, seconded by Beever, to dismiss 2006 VET 2803 on the basis of no violation of Board’s Laws and Rules. Motion carried, Complaint Officer and Benson recused.
2006 VET 2833 Initial presentation
In a motion by Benson, seconded by Spelke, to dismiss 2006 VET 2833 with a letter of guidance regarding reporting of test results and the importance of such information to be conveyed to a client the licensee should exhaust all reasonable means. Ultimately, the licensee is responsible for the patient’s health regardless of clinic policies. The letter of guidance is to be on file for a period of two years. Motion carried, Complaint Officer recused.
VET 273 Update
In a motion by Benson, seconded by Spelke, to unset VET - 273 for an adjudicatory hearing. Motion carried, Complaint Officer recused.
The Complaint Committee presented the Board with additional information regarding VET - 273.
In a motion by Spahn, seconded by Benson, to schedule the matter of VET – 273 for an adjudicatory hearing as soon as possible. Motion carried, Complaint Officer recused.
Request for Hardship Extension for Continuing Education Requirements
Neal Watson
In a motion by Benson, seconded by Spahn, to grant the request for continuing education hardship through March 31, 2007. Motion carried.
2006 VET 2480 Initial presentation
In a motion by Spelke, seconded by Beever, to dismiss 2006 VET 2480 on the basis of no violation of Board’s Laws and Rules. Motion carried, Complaint Officer Spahn and Pesut recused.
