TO ORDER

called the meeting to order at 9:14 a.m.

OLD BUSINESS
Review and approval of the minutes of June 23, 2004
In a motion by Chadima, seconded by Benson, to accept the minutes of
June 23, 2004, as written. Motion
carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Complaint Officer’s Report
VET – 229
In a motion by Benson, seconded by to dismiss VET-229
with a letter of guidance concerning response required to all complaints and
ultrasound system images must be on file 10 years and are considered to be part
of a medical record. Motion carried,
complaint officer recused.
VET – 240
In a motion by Chadima, seconded by Benson, to dismiss
VET-240 on the basis of no violations of Board’s Laws and Rules. Motion carried, complaint officer recused.
VET – 242
In a motion by Benson, seconded by Chadima, to dismiss
VET-242 with a letter of guidance regarding providing medical records to
clients upon request regardless of the account status of the client. Motion carried, complaint officer recused.
Board action on applications
Thaddeus Anderson - Veterinarian
In a motion by Pesut, seconded by Chadima, to enter
executive session at 11:00 a.m. for the purpose of discussion of confidential
medical records. Motion carried.
In a motion by Pesut, seconded by Benson to end
executive session at 11:15 a.m. Motion
carried.
In a motion by Chadima, seconded by Benson, to table
action on application pending receipt of all medical records, prognosis,
diagnosis, and all urine analysis results.
Motion carried.
Allanson Hill – Veterinarian reinstatement
In a motion by Benson, seconded by Chadima, to grant licensure under
the following conditions including probation for 6 months as previously
required by decision and order of September 4, 2002, proof of liability
insurance, waive of the national examination requirements, and to require
successful completion of the Maine Jurisprudence Examination. Motion carried.
Joan Kasoff – Veterinarian renewal
In a motion by Benson, seconded by Chadima, to grant a continuing
education deferment based on 32 MRSA § 59-B for a period of 365 days ending on
September 1, 2005, as well as a request for a medical update at time of return
to practice. Motion carried.
Board action on correspondence
E-correspondence of August 31, 2004, Donald Hoenig, regarding proposal
of law changes
The Board will respond to Dr. Hoenig regarding proposal of law changes.

adjourn at 12:26 p.m. Motion carried.
