removing part of a concrete slab under the bathtub, (b) installed a
drainage line with an improper pitch, and (c) placed the end cleanout
to the drainage line with insufficient clearance from a wall, hindering
necessary repairs or cleanout of the line.
License also installed a zone of baseboard heat, which is beyond the
scope of his license. In a board decree dated December 19, 1997 licensee
was also found to have installed a heating system without being licensed
to do so.
The board suspended the license for 360 days (90 days for each of the
4 violations described above), placed licensee on probation for 5 years,
issued licensee a $3000 civil penalty ($500 for each of the 3 plumbing
violations and $1500 for installing heating equipment), and ordered
licensee to pay $400 hearing costs.
