Do I need to take an exam?

No. An exam is not required prior to licensure as an Intern Forester.

Do I need to complete continuing education?

You must complete 12 hours of continuing education before renewing your license on even-numbered years. You may complete these hours during the two years prior to the even-numbered year renewal. (for example: the twelve hours required for renewal on December 31, 2008 must be completed between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008).

What if I change jobs and lose my sponsor?

If your sponsor resigns without making arrangements for a replacement to supervise you, you must arrange for a replacement within thirty days of your sponsor's resignation.

Is my application confidential?

No. With the exception of Social Security Number, all application information is public. Contact information provided to the Board is posted on our website.
