Board of Licensure of Foresters - Continuing Education

Foresters and Intern Foresters are required to complete 12 contact hours of continuing education for license renewal in December 2008. Chapter 80, Section 1 of the Board's rules requires that a minimum of 8 of the 12 contact hours must be earned in Category 1 . Category 1 includes organized course work, technical sessions, seminars, courses or workshops, or activity in forestry or forestry-related subject matter.

Foresters who have attained the age of 62 and practice less than 250 hours per year are not required to complete continuing education for license renewal.
